O Zhang

I created the materials for an exhibition of photographs by the New York-based artist O Zhang, at Drexel University's Pearlstein Gallery. I designed a system to brand the mailer as well as large wall graphics seen both from the street and lobby spaces. Zhang sees her childhood experiences in Jishou, on a pineapple farm, especially the breathtaking landscape and the dialects of the minority people as the basis of her aesthetic development. And so he colors and imagery come directly from her upbringing during Mao's Cultural Revolution.
